The Travelling Sisters are a multi-award winning physical comedy troupe based in Melbourne. The Sisters are known for their absurd characters, physical comedy and original music. They create both sketch & narrative live shows. Their debut web series ‘Meet the Mullets’ is currently streaming on YouTube.

Queens of character comedy Lucy Fox, Ell Sachs & Laura Trenerry champion and uphold the importance of play and stupidity. They met at university in the small town of Toowoomba. With little else to do they forged their lifelong bonds as fellow fools, writing songs creating characters inspired by their childhood favourites Full Frontal, Kath & Kim and League of Gentlemen. Seeing there wasn’t much of an opening for absurd and grotesque characters in the Queensland theatre and TV scene, they decided to fill the position themselves and bring back Australia’s 90’s favourite, character sketch.

The Travelling Sisters have had a prolific career performing in festivals and venues around the globe. Since settling in Melbourne in 2018 they have established themselves as a core element of the Melbourne comedy scene. They create shows with long-term collaborator, and one of Melbourne’s key physical theatre and comedy teachers and directors, Kimberley Twiner.

The Travelling Sisters are currently produced by MILKE.

Amongst the rubble of 2020 the trio came together to create a web series - Meet The Mullets.

Meet the Mullets is a mockumentary about a passionate theatre troupe of blokes and their Mums, forced to stop work through a global pandemic. In this twisted character comedy, The Travelling Sisters don various mullets to portray three families on the brink.
